So here's proof that I don't always wear cutesy skirts and dresses, I do wear trousers! Mostly for labs but sometimes I choose them over a skirt just because I feel like it! Shock, horror! I know, who would have guessed? Then again this is more of a sitting around at home, mulling cider and browsing tumblr sort of outfit. Or maybe a I-had-to-go-to-labs-but-I-didn't-want-to-so-I-wore-comfy-clothes day, which happen almost every day of lab time (#chemistryproblems). And if all these options weren't enough already, consider that my real reason for wear all these things was to show off my new jumper, shoes, and glasses. I mean, what's the point of blogging if not showing off? Stumped? Yeah, me too.
The jumper is thrifted, no biggie, just another lovely wool jumper in the perfect shade of rust. The boots are a pair that I've been lusting over in Urban Outfitters since forever (has it been almost a year?) they're from vagabond, who seem pretty cool, and they're awesome. My lovely friend bought them for my birthday, thanks friend! Oh and they somewhat match the jumper, yay!
Then we get to the glasses! These glasses were sent to me by Firmoo, who specialise in cheap, affordable glasses. I've used glasses direct before because they too have much better rates than on the high street owing to their not having to pay rent for shop floor. It was actually a massive coincidence but I received their email part way through a search for a new pair of glasses (I'm getting my old ones re-lensed, don't worry, they're not going to waste). The glasses are great, they fit well, they're light and my prescription is spot on (I can see!)
If you too wish to look as cool as I do here*, you can! Firmoo offer a first pair for free, including standard lenses, all you have to do is pay the shipping. It's not the cheapest shipping but then you do get free glasses and they arrive pretty fast, much faster than things I've ordered from within the UK. And if that wasn't enough, they were even kind enough to give me $500 worth of vouchers (25 $20 vouchers, the odds are in your favour) to give away to you guys so you can buy a second pair to go with the first free one. A matching pair of sunglasses maybe? I know I'd love a pair of prescription sunglasses. Keep out the sun and be able to see far away objects in great detail, what a lovely idea.
Giveaway closed! All winners have been contacted via email. Thanks for entering!
*My exact glasses are these, which look a lot less like leopard print in real life (thank goodness). Also, they're only $8. That deal is so sweet I can smell it all the way from here, oh no, that's just my chocolate orange. Mmm, delicious chocolate orange.

I haven't been reading your blog for long, so this is the first time I've seen you in glasses! I love it! I've been a four eyes myself since grade 8, so I'd love to snag one of those vouchers. Thanks for the giveaway!

These glasses are gorgeous on you and I love how you've colour co-ordinated them with your jumper! Also loving those bee brooches...I'm terrified of insects but am strangely drawn to insect jewellery possibly in the hope it will desensitise me but no luck so far :)
